Tragic Loss for Pierce Brosnan
The thing about actors/actresses that I feel a lot
of people forget is that when the director says cut and the cameras go down,
they are human beings and there are some things they can’t avoid in life. Today
I read some tragic news about Pierce Brosnan, of James Bond fame. Brosnan’s
daughter Charlotte, 41, passed away Friday from ovarian cancer. I remember
hearing about Brosnan’s first wife, Cassandra Harris, passing away about two
decades ago from ovarian cancer. Today I learned that her mother passed away
from the horrible disease as well. It is heartbreaking news and my heart goes
out to Brosnan and Charlotte’s husband and children. Considering the
generational history of ovarian cancer in the Harris women, I hope there is a
way to prevent any chance of Charlotte’s daughter Isabella getting the disease.
