Liebster Award!

The Liebster Award is a blogger to blogger recognition that supposedly started in the German blogging community several years ago.  In German, "liebster" means "dearest" or "beloved".  The purpose of the award is to recognize small blogs and encourage those bloggers to continue their work.  Currently, the main criteria is that the blog must have less than 200 followers, and in order to nominate a blog, you must have been nominated yourself.  If you have been nominated, all you have to do is accept the award, answer the survey questions from your nominator, and then pay it forward by nominating other small bloggers.  It is a fantastic way to introduce people to other upcoming blogs!  Plus, it helps to build a sense of camaraderie between bloggers!

With all that being said, here are the rules for the Liebster Award, my Q&A answers, and my nominations:

1. Each nominee should answer the 11 questions by the tagger.
2. Choose 11 bloggers with under 200 followers to pass the award to and link them in your post.
3. Create 11 new questions for the chosen bloggers.

Q&A:
1. If you could trade places with any celebrity, who would it be?

Ooooh, my girl Kerry Washington! She is gorgeous, on fire, smart, intelligent, and who wouldn’t want the opportunity to smooch with Patrick Wilson (Lakeview Terrace)? She also just got married in a secret wedding, transitioning from a seemingly secret relationship, proving that not all celebrities and thirsty for staying in the spotlight 24/7.

2. What character from a book, TV show, or movie do you identify with most?

Belle Jamison from Gena Showalter’s “Tales of An Extraordinary Girl” series. She’s a feisty twenty-something trying to find her place in the world. She has relationship troubles, but doesn’t let anybody walk all over her.

3. What is the one beauty product you can't live without?

Mascara. Without it I feel like an alien baby child.

4. What is the best concert you've ever attended?

Star Wars in Concert!! Pure awesomeness.

5. Who is your celebrity crush?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Idris Elba, Common, Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Taylor Lautner, and Alexander Skarsgard. Sorry, I have a lot of eye candy crushes. J

6. Candles or air freshener?

Candles. They smell yummy and are nice mood setters.

7. If you drink coffee, what is your favorite drink to order?

Does White Chocolate Mocha count? Even if it doesn’t, I take those things to the head. J

8. What is your favorite candy?

M&Ms. Classic, chocolate yumminess. Plus, some of the best commercials ever made, although I’m worried Yellow may be out of a job…

9. What is your favorite piece of clothing?

My short-sleeved peasant top.

10. Have you ever been on television or in the newspaper?  If so, why?

Both for dance! The newspaper article was a short feature on a piece I choreographed in memory of my rabbit, Quizzy; my college dance company had a group performance on an education channel, along with one of my solos. I heart dance.

11. If there is one thing you could do over in your life, good or bad, what would it be?
Wooo, child! All my relationships in my 20s! Hehe. Honestly, I would have held my last bunny, Quizzy, more in the end. I was too young to realize that he knew it was his time to pass on. I still thought he had a lot more time.
