If you’re a fan of awesomesauce, then you’ve probably been keeping up with the Season 8 return of Supernatural. Bonus points since it is no longer on the deadzone time for shows, Friday. In true Winchester fashion of breaking out of less than stellar dimensions like hell, Dean has busted out of Purgatory with a new weapon, a sexy grumpier attitude (think Wolverine) and a new “friend”. Prophet and math genius Kevin Tran escaped Crowley’s clutches with a new, more mature haircut and knowledge on how to bring an end to demons, and Sam has been playing house with a veterinarian and a dog he named “Dog”, for a year.
Side note: Has anyone else noticed Sam now seems to have a type of woman that is the opposite of his murdered love Jessica? While Jessica was blonde and bubbly, all of Sam’s subsequent relationships/flings/hook-ups have been with dark haired women who are a bit dry to me (with the exception of Sarah from “Provenance”): Ruby #2, Sarah, Madison the werewolf, the doctor in “Sex and Violence”, and now this veterinarian who is just…blah.
I digress. Throughout the last eight seasons, Dean and Sam have seen their share of tension and knock down, drag out fist fights due to arguments, supernatural abilities, lies, betrayal, and destinies that put them on opposite sides of the good versus evil fence. However, I miss the days of old when Sam and Dean were having epic hugs more often, saving each other at the drop of a hat, singing Bon Jovi in ‘Baby’, the Impala, or selling their souls when the other found himself at Death’s door. Though I don’t want either man dying (again) anytime soon, I miss their “Jerk”…“Bitch” relationship. They are again at a point of resentment over Sam not looking for Dean and Dean keeping secrets with a friend he made in Purgatory. This season will definitely be interesting but I’m hoping Sam and Dean will get back to status quo. I’m thinking a third party like hunter Garth might help bring them back together. With Bobby’s passing, they are all they’ve got now. Seriously.

"It's Raining Nails!" - Office Etiquette
I've never traveled internationally, but on Mondays I feel like I've traveled to the Australian Outback. It never fails that on Monday mornings someone a few cubicles over from me always clips his or her finger and/or toe nails. Judging by the amount of time the clippings take, I'd say both sets. *Shivers* I immediately envision tiny, flesh-colored boomerangs ricocheting off my cubicle wall and hitting me in my forehead causing a minor concussion or taking out my eye like Kano from Mortal Kombat. Unfortunately, I don't think these types of injuries are covered under Worker's Comp. Clipping one's nails defies all workplace etiquette. It's disgusting, unsanitary, and is a personal grooming activity that should be done at home. Just imagine one of those suckers landing in your mug of coffee. I'll wait.
Exactly. Disgusting.
All I know is that if these coworkers keep throwing their "boomerangs" around, I'm escaping up a tree with some cute Koalas.

Sorry for the M.I.A. Blogosphere!
Firstly, SORRY blogosphere friends for my previous M.I.A. status! Apparently Quarter-Life Crises are real. However, I didn't realize that until I was sitting in my cubicle crying my eyes out with my checkbook in one hand, a Kit-Kat bar in the other, and a Google search of animal babies on my computer screen.
Anyway, no excuses!
I appreciate all of you readers and some awesome Kimster-style posts are coming your way!

Google Doodles
Now that the Olympic games are on I barely get any work done! And no, it's not because I'm solely watching the Olympics, it's because I can't stop playing with my doodles!
Er, you know, the Google doodles?
Anyway, Google has been pulling out all of the stops with interactive doodles of some of the most popular sports and competitions. While there has been a bit of controversy in the mix over some of the imagery, I can sit and play a doodle for hours! If you're in the mood to play some or catch up on some of the classic Google doodles, just head on over to the interactive site. Have fun!
P.S. There's an awesome classic I Love Lucy doodle with hilarious footage from the lovely comedienne for her 100th birthday. Check it out here.

SHAZAM!
I know I may be a little late to the party, but SHAZAM!!!
As in the cool app for my android smart phone that can listen to a sample of a mysterious piece of music and then give me the artist, title and a colorful little CD cover preview.
Now, if you're up on your comic book trivia, then you know that Shazam was also a wizard whose name was an acronym for six ancient heroes that could be called on to access powers with certain attributes. I don't know about you, but I feel pretty badass when I know the name of a song that no one else in the room knows. ;)
S The wisdom of Solomon;
H The strength of Hercules;
A The stamina of Atlas;
Z The power of Zeus;
A The courage of Achilles;
M The speed of Mercury.
